“My finger has a red rash and itches”
Sometimes small bumps or pimples will be present as well. This is a fungus typically, very similar to athlete’s foot. An antifungal product like Micatin, Lotrimin, Gold Bond, etc., will clear this up in a matter of days, along with not wearing the ring until your finger totally clears up.
This usually occurs as we put on a little extra weight and our ring gets tighter, and is especially prevalent with wider bands where moisture can get trapped (and your finger gets kind of white and wrinkly under the ring).

The redness can also be an allergic reaction to low grade metals or a type of contact dermatitis. Usually this will occur, not only on your finger, but with watches, necklaces and earrings. Some people can only wear, high grade stainless steel, platinum and/or 18 karat plus gold.
